Davidson <br /> <br />Deputy Building Official R. J. Davidson presented a summary and advised problems have been <br />reported to management of the apartment complex for months, and nothing has been resolved; he <br />requested a public hearing date of October 26, 2015. <br /> <br />Councilmember Martin commented the complex is a health hazard, and he does not see a need to <br />postpone the public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Clausen asked how many units are occupied. Deputy Building Official R. J. Davidson <br />responded that his best guess is 5-6 units. Mr. Davidson also advised water has been turned off since <br />September 22, 2015. <br /> <br />Councilmember J. Martin moved to authorize a public hearing date of October 26, 2015, to receive <br />information regarding Dangerous Building Inspection Board investigation and report on Windsail Bay <br />MOTION PASSED. <br />Apartments. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION <br />(a) <br />Discussion and possible action regarding appointments to various City of La Porte boards, <br />committees and commissions P. Fogarty <br /> <br />City Secretary Patrice Fogarty presented a summary. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kristin Martin advised that she spoke with Nettie Warren regarding the Zoning Board of <br />Adjustment, and she is interested in moving up to Position 5. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby mentioned there is a vacancy on the La Porte Area Water Authority with Dennis Steger <br />declining reappointment, and the Building Codes Appeals Board with Lin Pfeiffer declining <br />reappointment. An item to address these vacancies can be brought to the next Council meeting, along <br />with the vacancy in the Alternate 2 position on the Zoning Board of Adjustment if Nettie Warren moves <br />to Position 5 and Doug Martin moves to Alternate 1. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kristin Martin moved to reappoint all citizens listed as desiring an additional term on <br />various City of La Porte boards, committees and commissions and to move from Nettie Warren from <br />Alternate 1 to Position 5 on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Doug Martin from Alternate 2 to <br />MOTION <br />Alternate 1 on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
