Councilmember Zemanek congratulated Councilmembers Ojeda, Earp, Kaminski on being elected; <br />th <br />Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; commented the 125 Anniversary Celebration was <br />a tremendous event; requested Staff meet with the Chamber of Commerce and other entities <br />regarding sales taxes in the City; requested a report from the City Engineer on a pipe causing <br />flooding and wished everyone a safe Memorial Day weekend. <br /> Councilmember Leonard congratulated Councilmembers Ojeda, Earp, Kaminski and new Mayor <br />Pro-Tem K. Martin; commented he had the privilege of being one of the three participants of the <br />new program in the EMS Department and advised of the great equipment the City has and wished <br />everyone a Happy Memorial Day weekend. <br />Mayor Rigby congratulated Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; Councilmember K. <br />Martin as Mayor Pro-Tem; thanked Councilmember Earp for serving as Mayor Pro-Tem; welcomed <br />Councilmember Ojeda; commented the Public Service event was nice last week; thanked CSO for <br />assisting with the City hosting the Harris County Mayors’ & Councils’ Association Dinner at <br />Monument Inn; informed of a groundbreaking for LyondellBasell that will benefit the City and <br />th <br />thanked everyone for the 125 Anniversary Celebration. <br />There being no further business, Councilmember Chuck Engelken made a motion to <br />adjourn the meeting at 6:55 p.m. Councilmember Daryl Leonard seconded the motion. <br />_______________________________ <br />Patrice Fogarty, City Secretary <br />Passed and approved on June 12, 2017. <br />________________________________ <br />Mayor Louis R.
