C Street also described as Lots 1 & 2, Block <br />789, Town of La Porte as described in the attached ordinance (see Exhibit A)? <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Should the Commission desire to consider a recommendation for approval of this <br />request, staff recommends considering various conditions, as described later in this staff <br />report. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Applicant: <br />Medders Construction <br />Applicant's Request: <br />The applicant desires to construct an off -site parking lot with covered parking on the <br />subject site. The attached Exhibit B includes the SCUP Application, project description <br />letter and site plan submitted by the applicant. <br />Site: <br />Vacant parcel of land located at the southeast corner of S. 161" Street and W. C Street <br />also described as Lots 1 & 2, Block 789, Town of La Porte. The applicant owns and <br />operates a general contractor construction company immediately across W. C Street at <br />311 S. 161" Street. The attached Exhibit C is an area vicinity map showing the location of <br />the proposed off -site parking lot as well as the main building for Medders Construction. <br />Background Information: <br />The subject site is a vacant parcel of land with 6,250 square feet (.143 acres) in area <br />zoned GC, General Commercial. The City of La Porte's Land Use Map identifies this <br />parcel as "commercial." The attached Exhibit D are Area Maps that show the location of <br />
