La Porte shall ensure compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements and shall furnish or cause <br />to furnish the required reports documenting compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements. <br />County will review all certified payrolls and conduct worker interviews and will hold the contractor responsible <br />for compliance with labor requirements. The County reserves the right to withhold funds from the general <br />contractor to compensate workers in accordance with the appropriate wage scales as promulgated by the U.S. <br />Department of Labor. <br /> <br />D. Compliance Violation(s) Provisions <br />As required by the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable Harris County Guidelines, La Porte and the contractor <br />shall be assessed fines for compliance violations. <br />(i) The County shall issue a written Notice of Non-Compliance or wage restitution letter detailing each <br />violation as it arises with instructions on how to cure the violation. The Notice of Non-Compliance or <br />wage restitution letter shall provide for a fifteen (15) to thirty (30) calendar day grace period from the <br />date of the written notice or letter for corrective actions. <br /> <br />(ii) Violations shall be punishable against La Porte or the Contractor on a per day/per violation basis and, <br />provided the County has not received reports documenting corrective actions. <br /> <br />14. La Porte La Porte uses its own employees, <br />materials, and/or equipment. All portions of construction work will be subject to the competitive bidding process <br />referenced above. <br />15. La Porte-- <br />Harris County specifications.
