BickerstafF <br />Heath Delgado Acosta LLP <br />Post -project support. The Firm will remain available to the City to deliver maps and <br />answer any remaining questions at the conclusion of the project and provide other <br />assistance as requested. <br />Litigation. In the event there is actual litigation or threatened litigation, the Firm will be <br />available to counsel the City about the likely merits of any suit or claim brought or <br />anticipated to be brought imminently, or to defend the challenge. <br />Compensation <br />The basic pricing structure for our services is outlined below. At the City's request, the Firm will <br />prepare an estimated budget for the City's redistricting project. The ultimate project costs will <br />largely be affected by choices the City makes, such as whether the City Council requests the <br />Firm's attorneys/staff to attend meetings in person rather than appearing remotely, the time it <br />takes for the City Council to agree on a final plan, etc. <br />Initial Assessment <br />$6,000.00 (plus out-of-pocket expenses) <br />The Initial Assessment will consist of the preliminary tasks, Initial Assessment data analysis, and <br />a presentation and discussion of the Firm's findings with the City Council. We charge $6,000 for <br />the preparation and presentation of the Initial Assessment, plus out-of-pocket expenses, and <br />travel time. If the Initial Assessment reveals that the City is balanced, and the City decides not to <br />redistrict, no other fees will be assessed unless additional services are requested. <br />Redistricting Process <br />Hourly Fee Basis (plus out-of-pocket expenses) <br />If the City is found to be out of balance, we will develop a detailed budget on request, outline the <br />City's obligations, and produce a timeline for completing the remainder of the redistricting <br />process. <br />Unless otherwise indicated in writing, our fees for legal services related to redistricting are <br />determined on the basis of the hourly rates of the respective attorneys, specialists, and paralegals <br />who perform the services, plus out-of-pocket expenses including travel and travel time. These <br />rates vary depending on the expertise and experience of the individual performing the work and <br />are indicated below. <br />Senior Attorney: $420-$480 per hour <br />Other Attorney: $250-$375 per hour <br />
