<br />I' m Betty Stoumbaugh, I was appointed by <br />Councilman Chuck Engleken to represent District <br />2 in the redistricting of the City of La Porte. <br />The goal was to insure equal representation for <br />all, one person, one vote. Also to maintain the <br />neighborhood integrity of similar likes and life <br />styles. <br />Natural boundaries were used where it was <br />possible and adjustment was made to maintain the <br />council seat where necessary. <br />District 2 no longer extends into Fairmont Park <br />West. Two thousand residents were relocated into <br />District 3 to equalize the districts. <br />The City of La Porte is a great representation of <br />America with all races and religions living in <br />harmony. <br />I'm proud to have been appointed to work with <br />the redistricting committee. I hope the results <br />meet with your approval. <br />
