The AT&T CARES Youth Service Action Fund supports young people as they <br />Improve their communities through service on National Youth Service Day. April 16-18, 2004. <br /> <br />Fifty-grants of $500 each will be available to young people (ages 5-25) and <br />organizations to implement service projects for National Youth Service Day, the largest <br />service event in the world. To apply, simply follow the application guidelines and submit a <br />complete application by February 13, 2004. Twenty-five grants up to $1,000 each are available to <br />encourage young people, between the ages of 5 and 22 with developmental disabilities to <br />plan and carry out service projects in the United states for National Youth Service Day <br />2004. Eight grants of $1,000 are available for youth with disabilities planning projects in <br />Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore or South Africa for Global Youth <br />Service Day 2004, also on April 16-18. <br /> <br />All grant winners will be eligible for an additional grant of $1,000 for the purpose of <br />continuing the project beyond April. Receipt of this follow-up grant will be contingent on the <br />satisfactory completion of a project evaluation and a cash or In-kind match from a local <br />community partner for the award winner. <br /> <br />To apply, simply follow the application guidelines and submit a complete application to Youth <br />Service America postmarked by February 9, 2004.
