During negotiations, it was <br />agreed to renew the agreement with the Chamber with an increased base contribution of $70,000 <br />per year (up from $50,000) based on the following key provision: <br />• If, in any year during this contract (beginning with the 2011 -2012 fiscal year), the <br />Chamber's Sylvan Beach Festival fundraiser should yield more than $50,000 in net <br />proceeds, the Chamber agrees to remit to the City fifty percent of each dollar raised in <br />excess of said $50,000. Any remittance of funds under this provision would be deposited <br />in the Hotel Motel Fund of the City. <br />There were no other changes made to the agreement and it remains the same as the previous 3- <br />year agreement. The proposed agreement would expire on September 30, 2014. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Consider approval of an agreement between the City of La Porte and the La Porte- Bayshore <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Ron Bottoms, City Manager <br />Date <br />
