Traffic: <br />Traffic was moderate during the inspection, however West Fairmont Parkway is a main thoroughfare into <br />and out of the City of La Porte, traffic can become heavy at certain times of the day. <br />Business History and Crime Status <br />In 2012, law enforcement responded to 52 calls for service. The calls are as follows: <br /> Fivecalls for service for alarms <br /> Seventeen call for servicein reference to assist by law <br />Three calls for service in reference to suspicious persons/circumstances <br />Fifteen call for service in reference to assisting a citizen <br />Five traffic stops <br />Three calls for service in reference to welfare concerns <br />One self initiated flag down <br />One call for service in reference to a 911 hang up <br />One call for service inreference to a minor accident <br />One call for service in reference to lost property <br />Exterior Lighting <br />Lighting was minimal is some areas and sufficient in others. Around the parking areas, the lighting was <br />sufficient except in the northeast corner on the north parking area. In the area is a driveway with a <br />dumpster. <br /> <br />Observations: <br />The northeast area of the north parking lot is not sufficiently lit. The dumpster is enclosed on three <br />sides; however the area is dark. Lighting under walkways is sufficient. There are no lights on the eastern <br />part of the building and the area is very dark. <br />Recommendations: <br />Minimum: <br /> Metal <br />1.Place twoHalide lights on the east wall of city hall.
