<br /> <br />N.Participating agencies must submit a summary reimbursement request form to H-GAC within eighteen <br />(18) days of the end of the enforcement weekend for reimbursement. With this reimbursement request <br />, copies of overtime slips, and copies of the <br />system shift report for the shifts worked. If a participating agency does not have a <br />safety belt use policy in place, a policy should be implemented, and a copy maintained for verification <br />during the grant year. <br /> <br />R.Officers working DWI enforcement must be trained in the National Highway Traffic Safety <br />Administration/International Association of Chiefs of Police Standardized Field Sobriety Testing <br />(SFST). <br /> <br />S.Participating agencies should have a procedure in place for contacting and using drug recognition <br />experts (DREs) when necessary. <br /> <br />T.Participating agencies will be expected to follow its own policies and procedures, as well as to enforce <br />and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. <br /> <br /> <br />U.This grant is a multi-agency effort, requiring all participants to make a diligent effort to patrol and <br />apprehend offenders. Failure of an officer to do so may result in the overall non-achievement of goals, <br />jeopardizing the future ability of being awarded similar grants in the future. If it is deemed that an <br />officer is not producing results, that officer may be denied future shifts during the grant period. <br />33 <br />Page of <br /> <br />
