The subject site is located at the <br />northwest corner of Fairmont Parkway and Canada Road. <br />The property is currently undeveloped and zoned General Commercial (GC). The applicant is <br />currently in the process of requesting a zone change to Planned Unit Development (PUD). The <br />applicant is interested in developing a multi -family apartment complex that will consist of a <br />singular residential structure which will include a 2 story parking garage, club house/fitness <br />facility and dual pool areas. The total number of units will not exceed 294 allowing for a <br />proposed density of 24.4 units per acre. <br />Staff did not receive any returned comment sheets for the proposed SCUP. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their August 15, 2019 regular meeting, voted 8-0 to <br />recommend approval of the proposed SCUP, as presented with conditions. Below is a list of <br />all proposed conditions. <br />A site development plan shall be submitted in accordance with applicable <br />requirements of the City of La Porte's Development Ordinance and shall comply with <br />all provisions of Chapter 106, "Zoning" of the City's Code of Ordinances and all other <br />department reviews and applicable laws and ordinances of the City of La Porte and <br />
