Firm Bac round <br />Cintas began humbly, established by Doc and Amelia Farmer in 1929 under the name Acme Wiper <br />Company. To make ends meet during the Great Depression, they laundered used rags from local factories <br />and sold them back to businesses. <br />In the 1940's, Doe's son Hershell took the helm. Then in 1957, Hershell's son Dick came on board and <br />was soon given full control of the company as Dick shifted the focus from rags to uniforms.
