Firm Bac round Cintas began humbly, established by Doc and Amelia Farmer in 1929 under the name Acme Wiper Company. To make ends meet during the Great Depression, they laundered used rags from local factories and sold them back to businesses. In the 1940's, Doe's son Hershell took the helm. Then in 1957, Hershell's son Dick came on board and was soon given full control of the company as Dick shifted the focus from rags to uniforms. This allows quicker tum -around time for our customers and provides them with the high- quality service that Cintas prides itself on. Lisa's journey with Cintas started as an Advanced Management Candidate.
