<br />SMOKING REGULATIONS <br />Chapter 34.. City's Code of Ordinances <br />Smoking regulations (Ord. # 1695), effective 03/26/90 <br /> <br />The following represents a brief outline of current smoking regulations. <br />F or reference, the actual regulations are attached at the end of this <br />document. <br /> <br />Definition - Public Place means an enclosed, indoor area where individuals <br />commingle to engage in commerce, recreation, educational activities or <br />transportation and include: <br />All or part of building used for state or local governmental purposes <br />Retail store, office or other commercial establishment <br />Theater/movie house, gymnasium, museum, auditorium/convention center or arena <br />Health care facility including (but not limited to) labs, hospitals, nursing homes, <br />doctor and dentist offices <br />Public means of mass transportation, including associated terminals <br />Area/building in which smoking is prohibited by state law <br />Service line, cashier area, over-the-counter sales area or common traffic area <br />Grocery store Restaurant or cafeteria <br />Public school facilities School bus <br />Courtroom Jury waiting or deliberation room <br />Library Place of employment <br />Place providing personal services Elevator <br />Hotel/Motel Restroom <br /> <br />Smoking prohibited in the following: <br />Elevator Restroom <br />Bus Public means of mass transportation <br />Public School Facility Theater or Movie House <br />Library Museum <br />Hospital <br />Service line/cashier area/over-the-counter sales area or common traffic area <br />Place prohibited by the fire marshal, political subdivision or by law, ordinance or <br />rule <br />
