<br />Smoking Regulations <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Places able to designate smoking areas in entirety: <br />Restaurant with seating capacity of 25 or fewer customers <br />Grocery store with less than 4,000 sq. ft. of retail floor space <br />Bar or retail store that Drimarilv sells tobacco <br />If they chose to designate in its entirety, that fact shall be posted at all entrances <br /> <br />Signage: <br />Visible at each entrance to the premises notifying persons that smoking is <br />"prohibited" -or- "prohibited except in areas designatedfor smoking" <br />Also, a sign shall be posted identifying the designated smoking area <br /> <br />Facilities to extinguish smoking materials: <br />All public conveyances and public places shall be equipped with facilities for <br />extinguishment of smoking materials. <br /> <br />More restrictive requirements: <br />A business may adopt nonsmoking requirements more restrictive than city <br />regulations. <br /> <br />Surrounding Cities <br /> <br />Baytown - Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces (includes <br />restaurants & bars) & within 15ft. of enclosed public spaces <br /> <br />Deer Park - There are no regulations on smoking. <br /> <br />Houston - Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces (includes <br />restaurants & bars) & within 25 ft. of entrance/exits/operable windows <br /> <br />League City - Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces (includes <br />restaurants) & within 25ft. of entrance/exits/operable windows. Not applicable to <br />bar/lounges where 51 % or more of gross sales of alcoholic beverages for on- <br />premise consumption. <br />
