Authorized Holidays <br />New Years Day <br />Washington's Birthday <br />Good Friday <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving <br />Christmas Eve <br />• Christmas Day <br />Page 3 of 12 <br />January lst <br />Third Monday in February <br />Friday before Easter <br />Last Monday of May <br />July 4th <br />First Monday in September <br />Fourth Thursday & Friday <br />in November <br />December 24th <br />December 25th <br />2. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, Friday will be observed. <br />When one falls on a Sunday, Monday will be taken. <br />3. All employees will be paid one day's pay for each official <br />holiday. To be eligible for holiday pay the employee must <br />work the scheduled workday preceeding and following the <br />holiday unless absence with excuse is acceptable to the <br />department head. <br />4. Employees scheduled to work on a holiday, and fail to work <br />as scheduled, will not be eligible for holiday pay. <br />5. When an employee has to work on a holiday, the employee will <br />receive the days pay plus time and one-half (1-1/2) for hours <br />worked. <br />
