• <br />STATE OF TEXAS X <br />X <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS X <br />• <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by and between the City of La Porte, <br />Texas, hereinafter referred to as the "City," and Turner Collie & Braden Inc. , <br />Consulting Engineers, Post Office Box 13089, Houston, Texas 77019, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Consultant. " <br />The City and the Consultant, therefore, as the parties to this Agreement <br />do mutually agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE I CONSULTANT <br />The Consultant covenants and agrees to provide the professional services <br />for a Traffic Engineering Survey and Study as hereinunder described in the Scope <br />. of Services in Article II of this Agreement. <br />The Consultant represents that it has or will secure, and agrees to furnish, <br />personnel with the professional classification, skill and expertise required to <br />perform the Scope of Services as described in Article II. <br />ARTICLE II SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The Consultant agrees to undertake, perform, and complete in an expedient, <br />satisfactory, and proper manner all of the professional services as described <br />in the following tasks: <br />Task One: Review Existing Studies and Reports. Existing studies, reports, and <br />plans on transportation and traffic-related items that will affect a traffic engi- <br />• neering plan for the area within the La Porte city limits, containing approximately <br />13.5 square miles and 9, 700 population, and that are available from the following <br />listed sources, will be reviewed and utilized for this study. <br />1. City of La Porte. <br />2. State Department of Highways and Public Transportation (SDHPT). <br />3. Houston-Galveston Area Council. <br />• <br /> <br />-1- <br />
