PARKING • The City provides free parking for employees in designated areas. Please DO NOT park in the spaces reserved for citizens. Spaces for handicapped employees will be provided as needed. 0 REST PERIODS One ten minute rest period will normally be provided during each uninterrupted 4-hour tour of duty, at the discretion of the Supervisor, depending on the needs of the department. You should advise your Supervisor when you desire to leave for your rest period. The rest period is a privilege and not a right; the work needs of the department are always the determining factor. The rest period is not a deduction from your pay, but when received is a fringe benefit. SOLICITORS AND SALESMEN Solicitors and salesmen are not permitted to contact you at the City without special permission. This is for your protection. CREDIT UNION All employees, at the time of employment or any time there- after, are invited to become members of the City of La Porte Federal Credit Union. To become a member, an employee must pay a 25� application fee plus purchase of one $5.00 share (savings account). Payroll deduc- tions are made for savings and/or loans. Dividends are paid to members with savings accounts. Loans are also available at low interest rates after completion of three (3) months service with the Credit Union. Insurance protection is pro- vided on savings accounts and loans in the event of your death or disability. For further information contact the Credit Union personnel. All Credit Union business should be transacted on Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only. 10
