Lay
Attorney at Law
202 Southmore Savings Building
825 Southmore Avenue
Pasadena, Texas 77502
Dear Mr. Lay:
This is in reply tq your letters to the City of La Porte of
December 8, 1977, and January 13, 1978, concerning houses
constructed by your client, Mr. A. J. Whipple, at 10250
Creekview Drive, and also at 10253 Meadow Crest, both in
La Porte.
• The City of La Porte considers these encroachments as serious
intrusions. We trust that in the future, that the building
sites will be carefully surveyed before construction, to avoid
a repetition of this problem.
In the two current cases, the City Commission of the City of
La Porte has passed a motion tq issue a waiver in each case,
for a $200.00 fee on each case, in addition to which, the
builder will be expected to furnish written waivers from each
of the utility companies holding a franchise from the City of
La Porte. When these utility company letters are properly on
file with the City Clerk, the City Clerk will at that time
deliver to the builder the City's waiver letter on these
violations.
Yours very truly,
CITY OF LA PORTE
J.
