. ., ~ 'i <br />~.£ • CONTRACT <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS <br />• THIS CONTRACT made and entered into this 24th day of <br />JANUARY 1979 by and between the City of La Porte, Texas <br />hereinafter referred to as "City"; and, the College of Architecture and Environmental <br />Design, on behalf of Texas A&M University, hereinafter referred to as "TAMU". <br />WITNESSETH: <br />• <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to authorize the conducting of an urban <br />planning intern program utilizing its facilities hereinafter described in Article <br />2 of this Contract; and <br />WHEREAS, TAMU desires to carry out such program for the benefit of <br />faculty and students of TAh1U's Department of Urban and Regional Planning; <br />NObJ THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants and agreements herein- <br />after set forth, it is agreed as follows: <br />Article 1 - Consideration <br />• <br />1.1 TAMU shall, through appropriate faculty supervision, provide guidance to <br />students of.the Department of Urban and Regional Planning in their pursuit <br />of the academic experience described in Article 2 of this Contract. <br />1.2 The City shall compensate TAMU for expenses incurred on this intern program <br />in accordance with the terms of Article 3 of this Contract. In no event <br />shall the City's compensation exceed the fixed sum of eleven thousand eight <br />hundred dollars ($11,800.00). <br />Pagelof5 <br />
