CJ <br />AGREEMENT OF LEASE <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS ~ <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS § <br />• <br />This Agreement of Lease made and entered into this the /9~ day <br />of , 1983, by and between the CITY OF LA PORTS, a <br />municipal corporation in Harris County, Texas, hereinafter called <br />LESSOR, and FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF LA PORTS, a non-profit <br />corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas, existing <br />in the City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, hereinafter called <br />LESSEE; <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />I. <br />LESSOR, for and during the term hereof and at the rental herein <br />specified, does hereby lease, let and demise unto LESSEE, subject to <br />• the provisions and stipulations herein contained, the following lots, <br />tracts or parcels of land, lying and being situated in La Porte, <br />Harris County, Texas, and more particularly described as follows, <br />to-wit: <br />Lots Eleven (11), Twelve (12), Thirteen (13), <br />and Fourteen (14), Block Two Hundred Forty-two <br />(242), La Porte Township, Harris County, Texas. <br />II. <br />This lease shall be for a term of forty (40) years, beginning <br />at 12:00 o'clock noon of the date first hereinabove written, subject, <br />however, to cancellation upon sixty (60) days written notice by one <br />party to the other at the addresses of LESSOR'S or LESSEE'S agents <br />designated below. <br />• III. <br />LESSEE agrees to pay to LESSOR, as rental upon the demised <br />premises, an amount of Forty Dollars ($40.00) upon execution of this <br />contract by the parties hereto, which sum represents rental at the <br />
