S.1 Line Pipe: HAP CA Specification Designation 12-78 Fusion bond or <br />• approved equal. <br />5.2 Field Joints: Polyken Pricer no. 927 and polyethylene tape no. <br />930 by Kcndsll Co. or equal. <br />5.3 Line Pipe Bay i Bayou: Concrete over dielectric coated pipe for <br />negative buoyancy and sechanical strength. <br />6.0 Casing Pipe Specifications: <br />20" O.D. x .344 wall for R.B. and highway, carbon steel pipe, specified <br />minimum yield strength 35,000 psi. <br />7.0 Fitting and Flange Specification: <br />7.1 Fittings: <br />16" O.D. standard wall (.375), c onforming to MSS Standard Practice <br />SP-75, with physical properties to match pipe having 60,000 psi SM'S, <br />carbon steel. <br />7.2 Pla rages <br />ANSI - 300 lb., carbon steel, ASTM A-181, Gr. 1. <br />• ~ 8.0 Depth of Line: <br />8.1 In specifying depth of line, the recommendations of AREA and <br />ANSI 831.8 have been carefully considered along with reasonable <br />safety and installation practices. <br />8.2 The minimum depth of cover for the carrier pipe without benefit <br />of casing where highway loading is required will be 4'-0". <br />8.3 Cased railroad track crossing will have a minimum of 5'-6" cover. <br />8.4 Cased road crossings shall Dave a minimum of 4'-0" cover. <br />8.5 Minimum depth of cover for water crossing will be S'0". <br />9.0 Co nstruction Methods: <br />9.1 Pipeline shall be welded construction per API 1104 with 1005 <br />x-ray of all butt welded joints. <br />9.2 Casings shall be installed under all railroad tracks and major <br />road crossings where uncased pipe is not permitted. Casings <br />shall be installed by boring or jacking. It is the owner's <br />desire to minimi:e casings and therefore heavy wall pipe will be <br />• used in lieu of casing when permitted. In cases where open <br />cutting is performed, traffic will be maintained on the roadway. <br />
