• <br />• <br />. • ~` • <br />'~`• 9.3 All disturbed surfaces shall be restored to their original <br /> condition. <br />9.4 The lints shall be pres:ure tested as indicated in section 4.3 <br /> of this specification. <br />9.S Vhen virgin soil conditions permit, it shall be used as <br /> backfill, sufficiently compacted and rounded to give 1002 <br /> restoration. When virgin soil is not free of rocks and debris, <br /> the line shall be installed in a 6" all around sand shading. <br />• 9.6 The contractor shall maintain safe and reasonable railroad and <br /> vehicular traffic conditions throughout the route during the <br /> construction period. <br />9.7 Adequate and uninterrupted drainage of railroad and vehicular <br /> right-of-nays shall be maintained. If, in the course of <br /> construction, it becomes necessary to block a drainage facility, <br /> temporary drainage facilities shall be installed to maintain <br /> adequate drainage. Permanent facilities shall be restored at <br /> the completion of construction. All action taken shall be <br /> approved by the right-of-way owner involved. <br />9.8 The Owner's contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the <br /> integrity of all ezisting facilities, for adhering to all A.G.C. <br /> safety standards and Dept. of Labor O.S.H.A. standards <br />10.0 Cathodic Protection: <br />10.1 The undezground portion of the line will be protected against <br />corrosion by a cathodic protection system designed in accordance <br />with the MACE Standard RP -01-69 (latest Rev.) "RecomDended <br />Practices for Control of Ezternal Corrosion on Ltnderground or <br />Submerged Piping Systess". <br />10.2 Test stations will be installed at each casing; foreign line <br />crossing (when required) and minimum 1000 ft. intervals along <br />the pipeline. Insulating flange sets will be installed at all <br />locations wheze the pipeline enters and leaves the ground. <br />10.3 Following construction of the pipeline, a post installation <br />cathodic protection s~vey will be conducted. A pipeline map <br />and annual maintenance and cathodic protection survey progras <br />will be set up. <br />11.0 Painting: <br />All aboveground sections of the pipeline, casing vents, cathodic <br />protection test stations, and pipeline markers will be painted. <br />• <br />
