Sots 1115, 6U4 West Fairmont LaPorte, Texas 77571 • Re: Proposal for Inspection of Water Storage Facilities Dear Sir: We are pleased to forward this proposal for the inspection services in connection with the evaluation of the elevated and ground storage facilities within the City of LaPorte. We will make an inspection of the interior and exterior of the tanks within the city as indicated in the City of LaPorte R.F.P. #UUU4, Inspection of Water Storage Facilities. We will during the course of the inspection evaluate the existing coatings, inspect the structural members for structural integrity, check metal for pitting, inspect welds visually to determine whether repairs are required, check riveted tanks to insure rivets are not leaEsing or will not leak after refinishing, and make recommendations for x-ray where necessary. Photographs will be taken of the tanks to portray their present condition. A written report will be made detailing the findings, with the supporting photographs. We will in our inspection provide the recommendations as to the work required to bring the tanks into compliance with the Te:cas State Department of Health and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act. We will in addition provide recommendations as to which tanks should be taken completely out of service due to condition. We will not provide an analysis of the overall storage requirements under the scope of this proposal. Within this proposal we will provide recommendations as to the type of finishes that may be applied for best service, estimated COSt5 and life factors.
