b. Documentation in the form of inspection reports, <br />photographs, and lab reports, etc. will be utilized <br />to identify materials inspected, the point and time <br />of inspection, the inspector, and the findings. <br />These reports will be held on file for future <br />reference and to support final acceptance. <br />c. Disagreements over construction will be adjudicated <br />with the contractor by the Project Manager, then <br />through the CIP management team and finally by the <br />City Manager prior to legal action. <br />d. Hold points established by the Project Manager may <br />be altered at the discretion of the Project <br />Manager. A hold point is defined as a point in the <br />progress of work at which further progress must be <br />held pending inspection and concurrence by the CIP <br />Management team to assyre that no unintentional <br />conflict with the technical specifications occurs. <br />e. Tests will be performed throughout the construction <br />and installation process. The contractor should <br />plan the testing to ensure that adequate time is <br />scheduled and that facilities and city operation <br />and maintenance personnel are available to review <br />the tests. <br />D. Risk Management <br />1. Every risk should be identified and its full <br />consequences assessed before plans are finalized. <br />Losses that can occur should be evaluated. <br />2. The Risk Manager will overlook plans and contracts to <br />assure that adequate risk coverage is provided and to <br />recommend various types of insurance for the projects. <br />3. The Risk Manager will report to the Project Manager. <br />E. -dispute Resolution <br />1. Disputes should be resolved at the lowest administrative <br />level possible. <br />2. Unresolved disputes will follow the chain of command as <br />stated in Section B Organization and Staffing. <br />26 <br />
