e e Ordinance No. 1501, Page 4 the City of La Porte: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE. Section I. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of La Porte, which is attached to this ordinance as Exhibit liD II , and is fully incorporated by reference herein, is hereby adopted as the text of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of La Porte. Section 2. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause,_ or any part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause of this ordinance shall, for any reason, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council to have passed each section, sentence, phrase, or clause, or part thereof, irrespective of the fact that any other section, sentence, phrase or clause, or any part thereof, may be declared invalid. Section 3. All rights or remedies of the City of La Porte, County of Harris, State of Texas, are expressly saved as to any and all violations of the Zoning Ordinance or amendments thereto, of said City of La Porte, that have accrued at the time of the effective date of this Ordinance are hereby expressly reserved: and as to such accrued violations, any Court of competent jurisdiction shall have all the powers that existed prior to the effective date of this ordinance: and that all existing violations of previous zoning ordi- nances which would otherwise become non-conforming uses under this ordinance shall be considered violations of this ordinance in the same manner that they were violations of prior zoning ordinances of said City of La Porte. Section 4. Any person, firm, or corporation in violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in the sum of not more than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00).
