<br />.r4HARY OF' THF. hl()RK PERFORt-11 <br /> <br />UNDER THIS CONTRACT <br /> <br />The following is a brief summary descrip.tion of the work under <br />this Contract. It has been prepared only as an aid to a better <br />understanding of the total scope of the Work. It is in no way to be <br />considered complete in such description and in al+ cases the <br />requirements of the following Specifications Sections and of the <br />Original Drawings govern. <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />The project consists of the rehabilitation of an elevated <br />one-story, sixteen thousand, eight hundred eighty square feet (16,880 <br />S.F.) recreational facility for the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />BASE CONTRACT <br /> <br />(1) Replace all broken glass. <br />(2) Grout all concrete beams. <br />(3) Repair exterior doors. <br />(4) Repair, re-caulk, and re-nail exterior siding at new entry. <br />(5) Paint exterior of building. <br />(6) Repair, re-paint and encase in concrete the steel columns <br />supporting the top wooden deck. <br /> <br />ALTERNATE BID ITEMS <br /> <br />. Each Al terna te to the Base Bid is defined below in abbrev ia ted <br />language. Its full requirements are documented on the Drawings and in <br />the Specifications. Inherent in the scope of each Al ternate is the <br />coordination of related work and other Alternates to ensure that work <br />affected is complete and properly interfaced with other work. <br /> <br />Alternate No.1: <br /> <br />Restore lower level entry. <br /> <br />Alternate No.2: <br /> <br />Remove and replace top wood deck including any wood <br />beams that may need replacing. Treat remaining <br />wood beams with preservative. <br /> <br />Alternate No.3: <br /> <br />Repair all air handling and conditioning systems. <br />
