<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE-MEMO <br /> <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />SEPTEMBER 3, 1987 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Doug Latimer ~"I tairman, Planning & Zon ing Commiss ion <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Special Conditional Use Permit For First Assembly Of God <br />Church; 316 East Fairmont Parkway; Block 1112; Lots 6-11; <br />Block ll13;Lots 1-4; La Porte. <br /> <br />The First Assembly of God Church has applied for a Special <br />Cond it ional Use pe rmi t for joint park ing., The Church is pI ann ing an <br />expansion and they do not have adequate on-site parking to meet the <br />requirements of the City's Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />To overcome this problem, the church has entered into a joint <br />parking agreement with the school district and is leasing a portion of <br />the high school's parking lot. This lease has been reviewed and <br />approved by the City Attorney's office. <br /> <br />The Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing and <br />considered First Assembly's request during our August 20, 1987 meeting. <br /> <br />We find this request to meet all requirements of the City's Zoning <br />Ordinance and recommend that the First Assembly Of God Church's request <br />for a Special Conditional Use permit, to allow joint parking, be <br />approved. <br /> <br />DL/lb <br /> <br />cc: Joel Albrecht, Director of Community Development <br />David Paulissen, CBO/Zoning Administrator <br />
