Recommendation letter from the Board of <br />Inspections regarding the buildings being <br />considered for condemnation and demolition <br />----------------------------------------------------------------- <br />----------------------------------------------------------------- <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />Summary: <br />The City's Dangerous Buildings Board of Inspections is <br />requesting City Council Authorization to proceed with <br />condemnation of thirteen (13) dangerous buildings. The Board <br />will present its findings and conclusions to the Council in the <br />form of Dangerous Buildings Inspection Report forms and a slide <br />presentation. At the conclusion of the Board's presentation, <br />Council will be requested to call for a vote authorizing a <br />condemnation public hearing to be held regarding each of the <br />buildings being considered. The condemnation hearing being <br />requested will be conducted by City Council. The Board is <br />requesting a condemnation hearing date of March 12, 1990. <br />Council Option: <br />1) Authorize condemnation hearing for all buildings being <br />considered. <br />2) Table consideration of all or selected structures until <br />a future date. <br />3) Direct the Board of Inspections to halt proceedings <br />against all or selected structures. <br />Recommendation: <br />Authorize a condemnation <br />buildings being considered. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />hearing for all thirteen (13) <br />Determine by a separate vote for each structure, whether or <br />not to authorize a condemnation hearing for the buildings being <br />considered for demolition. <br />Availability of Funds: <br />x General Fund Water/Waste <br />Capital Improvement General Revenue Sharing <br />Other General Revenue Sharing <br />Account Number: 001-902-902-606 Funds Available: x Yes No <br />----------------------------------------------------------------- <br />----------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Robert T.
