Box 1115 <br />La Porte, Texas 77572 <br />Dear Mr. Herrera: <br />Re: S.P.O.R.T. Recreation Center <br />We have received and reviewed your request of August 29, 1991 requesting permission to <br />purchase the 16,000 square foot metal building adjacent to the building at 1322 South <br />Broadway. You are hereby granted permission to make an offer to the owner for $165,000. <br />It is understood that one-half of the purchase price will be paid by the City of La Porte and <br />that one-half of the building will be renovated by the City for purposes unrelated to the <br />S.P.O.R.T. facility. <br />Your letter alluded to a need for additional funding for this project. Please be advised that <br />in light of the significant amount of CDBG funds currently allocated to the S.P.O.R.T. <br />facility, it is unlikely that more would be added to the original amount.
