Some of the <br />early priorities focused on hardware enhancements and achieving a <br />greater degree of stability in our MIS operations and establishing <br />PC hardware/software standards. <br /> <br />Another set of objectives for the MIS Committee was related to <br />installation of the latest revisions of the NCC software. The <br />major software systems identified for installation were: <br /> <br />. utility Billing (with meter reading devices) (Completed) <br />. Payroll <br />. Accounts Payable <br />. Purchasing <br />. Budgetary Accounting <br />. Human Resources <br />. Municipal Court <br />. Police Information system <br /> <br />The following is an overview of the committee's progress on <br />installation of NCC's latest revisions. <br /> <br />POLICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS <br /> <br />More specifically the recommendations regarding the Police <br />Information Systems were: <br /> <br />. Replace the NCC/liMS POSSE, plus system with NCC's <br />new police information system. If within the next <br />twelve months this system does not achieve the <br />Department's needs, replace it with a stand-alone, <br />dedicated system. <br /> <br />. Acquire a stand-alone computer aided dispatch system <br />for the Department. This system should be <br />microcomputer based and able to interact with NCC's <br />police system. <br />
