• • <br />RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE <br />LA PORTE-BAYSHORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />WHEREAS, the 69th Legislature of the State of Texas has passed a <br />comprehensive plan relating to the conservation, development, protect- <br />ion and enhancement of surface water, underground water, bays and <br />estuaries.; and . <br />WHEREAS, this Legislation also provides financing mechanisms for <br />water development and conservation, water quality enhancement and <br />flood control; and <br />WHEREAS, the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce is an organi- <br />zation of local businessmen and merchants serving the La Porte- <br />Bayshore area; and <br />WHEREAS, the region faces multi-dimensional water-related <br />problems including shortages of supply, severe flooding and needed <br />sewage treatment facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, Propositions One and Two on the November 5, 1985, ballot <br />provide for constitutional amendments for financing of improved water <br />conservation, water development, water pollution control and drainage <br />in Texas. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the <br />La Porte_Bayshore Chamber of Commerce supports passage of Propositions <br />Orie and Two. <br />ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber <br />of Commerce on the 16th Day of October, 1985;.. <br />>~ <br />' A ert D. a s, Pres dent <br />d <br />ATTEST: <br />i <br />~~ ~i <br />n P. manek, Executive Vice Pres ent <br />• :`.},, <br />:/° .. <br />' .. .ti., <br />
