'• <br /><~ <br />JOINT RESOLUTION BY THE EXECUTIVE BOARD AND~'THE-BOARD OF <br />DIRECTORS OF, THE LA PORTE-BAYSHORE CHAMBER','~OF COMMERCE <br />_x.: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the La Porte Independent <br />School District has placed before the voters' of the La Porte <br />Independent School District six Capttal Improvement Project <br />Proposals;. and _ <br />WHEREAS, said Capital Improvement Project~'~.Proposals are <br />proposed to be funded by the phased issuance of bonds by the La <br />Porte Independent School District; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Capital Improvement Projects, will,. if <br />approved by the La Porte Independent School District make the La <br />Porte Independent School District a better place for-students to be <br />educated, boost the local economy, and pro~tide nets jobs in the five <br />year construction period contemplated for completion of said <br />Capital Improvement Projects; and <br />WHEREAS, approval of all six Project Proposals',will not result <br />in increased taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, several of said Capital Improvement Projects, if not <br />funded by the issuance of bonds, must be funded in the near future <br />by short term tax increases; , <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EXECUTIVE BOARD AND THE <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LA PORTE-BAYSHORE CHAMBER~OF COMMERCE, <br />ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP: ''?``"?'~ <br />.~,` <br />THAT the continual planning efforts of the`La Porte Indepen- <br />dent School District Board of Trustees be applaude~.F;b~~nd . <br />t~~wpe+ , i~'~k;'.~ ,~~ ~', <br />HAT the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber o!
