Main Street from"Broadway to <br />Hi9hwav t~s, «nd one block South and one block North of Main Street from <br />Broadway to ~liclhway 146 as a special revitalization area, and; <br />WHEREAS, the La Porte Main Street Assoclation over the past 5 years has <br />made improvements and set long term goals for this area, and; <br />WIiERCA~. ~,;~st e:;perience with group living facilities in this area has <br />proven undesir•a~le, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has ordinance No. 1601 restricting labor <br />pools from this area, and; <br />'rJHEREAS, the Ea Porte Main Street Association opposes any dormitory style <br />living facilities in this area. <br />NOtiti', THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Board of Directors of the La Porte- <br />Bayshore Chamber cf Commerce suogorts the la Porte Main Street Association in <br />apposing ur,v dur•r~~itory style living facilities in or near the above described <br />revital iLCit i~Jn area. `'~~- <br />ADOPTCD this the tSth day of April 1990.
