Second by Councilperson Cooper. Council considered appointing a voting delegate and an <br />alternate voting delegate to the National League of cities <br />Annual Congress of cities business meeting. <br /> <br />Councilperson Maxwell nominated Councilperson Gav as the <br />votinq deleqate to the National Leaque of cities Annual <br />Conqress of cities business meetinq. Councilperson Gay <br />nominated Councilperson Maxwell as alternate votinq deleqate. <br /> <br />Council unanimously approved the appointment of Councilperson <br />Deotis Gay as voting delegate and Councilpersorr Jack MaxWell <br />as alternate voting delegate to the National League of cities <br />Annual Congress of cities business meeting. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke <br />Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Thrower, <br />and Mayor <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />22. Council considered a consent agenda as follows: (A) Consider <br />awarding annual contract to I.C.M. of Houston for supplying <br />smoke Bombs; (B) Consider awarding annual contract for <br />cleaning, televising and removal of roots from sanitary sewer <br />lines to AAA Flexible Pipe Company; (C) Consider awarding <br />annual contract for supply of Liquid Asphalt Cement (AC-10) to <br />Exxon Company, USA; (D) Consider awarding contract to Sensu <br />Technologies for purchase of Automated Meter Reading Devices; <br />(E) Consider awarding bid for Gasoline and Diesel Fuel to Sun <br />Coast Resources, Inc. <br /> <br />Councilperson McLaughlin asked to discuss item (D). After a <br />short discussion Council voted on the consent agenda. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve the consent <br />aqenda as presented. Second by Councilperson Sutherland. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
