• s <br />LETTER OF AGREEMENT <br />This is an Agreement made as of between the City of <br />La Porte (Owner) and Jimmy D. Dunham, P.E. (Engineer). <br />owner intends for Engineer to provide professional engineering <br />services in connection with the preparation of plans and <br />specifications, bidding and awarding a contract, and construction <br />phase services, including on-site inspectional services, for the <br />repair work to Owner's 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank <br />located in Fairmont Park (Project). <br />Required work is detailed in Reports of Inspection prepared by <br />Engineer and dated September 22, 1993. A general description of <br />the Project is the repainting of the inside and outside of the <br />water storage structure at Fairmont Park as well as certain <br />structural repairs and modifications. <br />SCOPE OF BASIC ENGINEERING SERDICES: <br />Engineer agrees to provide the following professional services: <br />Design Phase <br />Meet with Owner to discuss proposed project, and reinspect Project <br />to insure the conditions remain the same as when last inspected in <br />1993. Engineer will discuss with Owner the condition of the tower, <br />applicable AWWA specifications, TNRCC regulations, recommended <br />paint system(s), as well as any options available for coatings and <br />other aspects of the Project. At that time, Owner will make any <br />special requirements known to Engineer. <br />Provide two ( 2 ) draft sets of Plans and Specifications to Owner <br />within thirty (30) days of Notice to Proceed, and meet with Owner <br />to discuss scope of work and any changes requested by Owner. <br />Finalize Plans and Specifications, based on meeting and written <br />comments from Owner, within thirty (30) days and provide two (2) <br />sets of final plans and specifications with updated cost estimate. <br />Secure all regulatory approvals necessary. <br />Bidding Phase <br />Provide and distribute copies of plans and specifications to <br />interested bidders. <br />Assist the Owner with preparation of legal advertizement, and <br />advertize the work directly to selected bidders and at least two <br />(2) contractor clearing houses. <br />
