<br />DOCUMENT 00800 <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />The Supplementary Conditions contain modifications and additions to the General <br />Conditions of the Contract for Construction, AIA Document A20I, 1997 Edition. Where <br />any part of the AIA General Conditions is modified or voided by the Supplementary <br />Conditions, the unaltered portions shall remain in effect. The paragraph numbering system <br />of AIA Document A-20I, 1997 Edition is continued in the Supplementary Conditions. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 - GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />1.1 BASIC DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />1.1.1 THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />Add the following sentence to the end of Subparagraph 1.1.1: <br /> <br />The Contract Documents executed or identified in accordance with Subparagraph 1.5.1 shall <br />prevail in case of an inconsistency with subsequent versions made through manipulatable <br />electronic operations involving computers. <br /> <br />Add Clause 1.1.1.1 to Subparagraph 1.1.1: <br /> <br />.1 The Contractor acknowledges and warrants that it has closely examined all the <br />Contract Documents, that they are suitable and sufficient to enable the Contractor to <br />complete the Work in a timely manner for the Contract Sum, and that they include all <br />work, whether or not shown or described, which reasonably may be inferred to be <br />required or useful for the completion of the Work in full compliance with all <br />applicable codes, laws, ordinances, and regulations. <br /> <br />1.1.3 THE WORK <br /> <br />Add Clauses 1.1.3.1 and 1.1.3.2 to Subparagraph 1.1.3: <br /> <br />.1 The Work shall include the obligation ofthe Contractor to visit the site of the project <br />before submitting a bid. Such site visit shall be for the purpose of familiarizing the <br />Contractor with the conditions as they exist and the character ofthe operations to be <br />carried on under the Contract Documents, including all existing site conditions, <br />access to the site, physical characteristics of the site and surrounding areas. <br /> <br />.2 Nothing in these General Conditions shall be interpreted as imposing on either the <br />Owner or Architect, or their respective agents, employees, officers, directors, or <br />consultants, any duty, obligation, or authority with respect to any items that are not <br />intended to be incorporated into the completed project, or that do not comprise the <br />
