<br />....~..; <br /> <br />Work, including but not limited to the following: shoring, scaffolding, hoists, <br />weatherproofing, or any temporary facility or activity, because these are the sole <br />responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> <br />Add Subparagraphs 1.1.8, 1.1.9, 1.1.10 and 1.1.11 <br /> <br />1.1.8 ADDENDA <br /> <br />Addenda are written or graphic instruments issued by the Architect prior to execution ofthe <br />Contract which modify or interpret the Bid Documents by additions, deletions, <br />clarifications, or corrections. Addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents, except <br />portions of Addenda relating to proposing requirements. <br /> <br />1.1.9 NOT IN CONTRACT (NIC) <br /> <br />Work not included in the work of this Contractor. <br /> <br />1.1.10 FURNISH, INSTALL AND PROVIDE <br /> <br />.1 The word "furnish" as used in these documents, shall mean "to supply and deliver to <br />the project site, ready for installation". <br /> <br />.2 The word "install" as used in these documents, shall mean "place in position for <br />service or use". <br /> <br />.3 The word "provide" as used in these documents, shall mean the same as "furnish and <br />install, complete and ready for intended use". <br /> <br />1.1.11 TECHNICAL TERMS <br /> <br />Technical terms not defined in the Contract Documents shall have the meanings given in <br />AlA "Glossary of Construction Industry Terms", 1991 Edition. Technical terms not defined <br />in this Glossary and used to describe items of Work and which so applied have a well <br />known technical or trade meaning, shall be held to have such recognized meaning. <br /> <br />1.2 CORRELATION AND INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />Add Subparagraphs 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 asfollows: <br /> <br />1.2.4 In the case of an inconsistency between the Drawings and Specifications or within <br />either Document not clarified by an Addendum, the Contractor is deemed to have included <br />the better quality or greater quantity of Work in the contract sum. Clarifications of the <br />inconsistency will be accomplished with the Contractor after award of Contract, and, if <br />necessary, an appropriate reduction in the Contract will be accomplished by Change Order. <br /> <br />? <br />
