<br />Economic Summit set for 7:30
<br />a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 in the stu-
<br />dent center ballroom at San
<br />,Jacinto College Central.
<br />The college is located at 8060
<br />Spencer Highway in Pasadena.
<br />The summit is free of charge.
<br />Keynote speaker is Dr.
<br />Timothy Hopper, senior econo-
<br />mist for the Federal Reserve
<br />Bank of Dallas. His topic is
<br />"Returning To Growth.~'
<br />Co-hosting the summit are
<br />Harris County Precinct 2
<br />Commissioner Sylvia R. Garcia,
<br />the Bay Area Houston Econoinic
<br />Partnership, the BaytownlWest
<br />Chambers Economic Develop-
<br />ment Foundation, the Economic
<br />Alliance Houston Port Region
<br />and the San Jacinto College
<br />District. Garcia will speak on
<br />"Paving the Plan for Smart
<br />Growth."

<br />ly' changing in Precinct 2 and we
<br />must begin to plan for these
<br />changes," Garcia said; "This
<br />summit will provide all Precinct .
<br />2 stakeholders a venue to share

<br />will follow. Lindemann is also
<br />serving as an economic cluster
<br />group leader and will give an
<br />economic report about education
<br />and workforce.
<br />Prior to lunch, participants will
<br />break up into cluster groups to
<br />discuss a legislative agenda and
<br />strategic plans for the economic
<br />success of Precinct 2. Afterward,
<br />each facilitator will spend about
<br />10 minutes sharing feedback on
