Motion was made by Council member Griffiths to approve the Ordinance 2782-M- as presented by Mr. Porter. Second by Council member Ebow . The motion carried Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Beasley, Engelken, Rigby, Ebow, Clausen, Griffiths and Mayor. Nays: None Abstain: None 23. Council discussed a candidate for Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees Election. Motion was made by Councilman Clausen to nominate Greg Ingham to the TML Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees. Second by Griffiths. 24. Council to consider approval or other action regarding a resolution supporting increased funding for the Texas Recreation and Parks Account and the State Park System. Parks & Recreation Director Stephen Barr presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: Resolution 2006-21-A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING THE MEMBERS OF THE 80TH LEGISLATIVE SESSION OF THE STATE OF TEXAS SUPPORT INCREASED FUNDING FOR THE TEXAS RECREATION & PARKS ACCOUNT LOCAL PARK GRANT PROGRAM AND THE TEXAS STATE PARK SYSTEM. Motion was made by Council member Griffiths to approve the Resolution 2006-21- as presented by Mr. Barr. Second by Council member Ebow. The motion carried. Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Beasley, Engelken, Rigby, Ebow, Clausen, Griffiths and Mayor. Nays: None Abstain: None 25. Close Regular Meeting and Open Workshop at 9:51p.m.
