Second by Council member Ebow . The motion carried <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Beasley, Engelken, Rigby, Ebow, Clausen, Griffiths and Mayor. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />23. Council discussed a candidate for Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool <br />Board of Trustees Election. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clausen to nominate Greg Ingham to the TML <br />Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees. Second by Griffiths. <br /> <br />24. Council to consider approval or other action regarding a resolution supporting increased <br />funding for the Texas Recreation and Parks Account and the State Park System. <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation Director Stephen Barr presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: Resolution 2006-21-A RESOLUTION OF <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING THE MEMBERS OF THE <br />80TH LEGISLATIVE SESSION OF THE STATE OF TEXAS SUPPORT INCREASED <br />FUNDING FOR THE TEXAS RECREATION & PARKS ACCOUNT LOCAL PARK <br />GRANT PROGRAM AND THE TEXAS STATE PARK SYSTEM. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Griffiths to approve the Resolution 2006-21- as <br />presented by Mr. Barr. Second by Council member Ebow.
