Provide boundary descriptions and map exhibits for three 8' to 10' wide easement tracts <br />adjoining the existing right of way. Title insurance, if desired, appraisals, and other related <br />costs will be paid directly by the City. <br />Final Design <br />1. Construction documents will include technical specifications in the CSI standard format. <br />2. Design Items - The design will be appropriate for the public solicitation of bids. Complete <br />Plans & Specifications will be submitted to the City for review and approval. <br />3. Traffic control plan will be a routine utility construction setup in accordance with AASHTO <br />and TMUTCD. <br />4. A storm water pollution prevention plan shall be prepared and NO[ form shall be prepared <br />for the contractors use. <br />5. Stormwater quality measures (BMP's) as included in the Harris County Public <br />Infrastructure Department Engineering Division - Permit Office's "Storm Water Quality <br />Guidance Document for New Development/Redevelopment Projects" will be adapted to <br />the project. <br />6. Plans will be submitted to Harris County and Harris County Flood Control District for <br />review and approval. To maintain the City's schedule, the City may need to encourage an <br />expedited review of the plans. Letter of notification will be submitted to TCEQ as well. <br />Geotechnical <br />1. As a subconsultant service, a geotechnical firm (PSI) will provide soil borings, analysis, <br />and recommendations for utility trenching and bedding. <br />Bidding Phase Services <br />1. CobbFendley will assist the City in soliciting bids for the project. CobbFendley will: <br />+ Prepare an advertisement for the City's use in publication <br />+ Attend a prebid meeting with prospective bidders to discuss the project and answer <br />questions <br />+ Prepare and issue any necessary addenda to the bidding documents <br />+ Attend the bid opening <br />+ Review the bids, prepare tabulation, and recommend a bidder to the City. <br />+ Prepare Contract documents for execution by the City and Successful Bidder <br />Construction Phase Services <br />CobbFendley will provide field and office support services to provide documentation of the <br />project progress and to determine if the work is in general conformance with the contract <br />documents. In performing these construction phase services, CobbFendley will not be <br />responsible for the techniques and sequences of construction or the safety precautions <br />incident thereto, and CobbFendley will not be responsible and liable to the City if the <br />contractor fails to perform the construction work in accordance with the contract documents. <br />Such services shall consist of: <br />• Conduct a preconstruction conference. <br />• After approval of executed contract documents by the City Attorney, issue a Notice to <br />Proceed. <br />• Furnish the services of an engineer to visit the Project periodically, to review the work in <br />progress, confer with field personnel, and to determine, in general, if such work is <br />proceeding in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. <br />• Review change order requests and claims by Contractor <br />DADOMPROPOSALSISMALL PROPOSALS12009U.A PORTE MCCABE SEWERIPROPOSAL.DOC <br />
