• <br />Civil Service Meeting <br />September 14, 1981 <br />~• Page 30 <br />Freeman: Mrs. Davis and I plan a trip to Galveston sometime this week to talk to <br />Ben Davis again. We'll probably spend the day, and may bring back some information. <br />Hud ens: --or if you all can break loose and go, you know. <br />Trainer: I'm off to kentucky. I'm trying to head-hunt a D.P. guy. <br />Davis: He's a very helpful young man, and seems to know his business. <br />Randall: This week, Herb? This week, you say? <br />Freeman: We're going to try to, yes sir. <br />Randall: You haven't established the day yet? <br />Freeman• No sir. <br />Davis: I'll call you all if your interested. <br />Randall: Would you? <br />Joyner.: Super. I need to find out where I am from day to day. <br />~• Davis: They---1've found just thlking with these different people and---different <br />cities have different ways they set things up, but it simplifies 1269 so much more <br />than reading it because you really see how it works. <br />Trainer: Oh, absolutely. <br />Randall: It's going to work out nice, Jim. You know Richard Doussand, my boss? He's <br />on the Commission in Baytown. <br />Hudgens: Oh, really? He's on the Civil Service Commission over there? I'll be darned. <br />Davis: I called them and asked them if they had any hearings coming up but evidently <br />everything's quiet over there right now. <br />Randall: Richard can help me a great deal. We can get with him. <br />Hudgens: Yeah, he can talk to us. <br />Davis: O.K., well,------ <br />MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 4:30 P.M. <br /> <br />
