Include all stakeholders, educators, students, parents, social <br />service providers, health care providers, Headstart leaders, senior citizen advocates, <br />and other agencies that depend on federal funding. <br />Contact college newspapers and radio stations and ask them to print and broadcast <br />Census stories and messages. <br />Ask highest elected official to send a letter to all residents urging them to complete <br />their Census questionnaires accurately and return them promptly. <br />Ask radio stations to earmark certain times of the day as Census time, and give a <br />short motivational talk to residents encouraging them to participate in the Census. <br />Keep the media abreast of all Census activities generated by the CCC sub- <br />committees. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />APRIL <br />2000 <br /> <br />The time <br />has come <br />to act... <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Hold a Census Day rally in a prominent location featuring the highest elected <br />official, local personalities, entertainment, and prizes. <br />Continue to ask radio stations to earmark certain times of the day as Census time, <br />reminding residents to complete and return Census questionnaires immediately. <br />Circulate a schedule of Census activities generated by other sub-committees and <br />organizations in the community. <br />Distribute balloons imprinted with "Census 2000 ACT TODAY".
