• <br />2.24 <br />• <br />• <br />2.25 <br />2.26 <br />2.27 <br />2.28 <br />~ ~ <br />EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION: The unincorporated terri- <br />tory beyond the City limits of the City established by <br />the authority of Article 970a and 974a. <br />FILING DATE: The date when a site plan, general plan, or a <br />plat is formally presented to the Commission for its <br />approval and registered as a part of the Commission's <br />official meeting agenda. <br />FLOOD HAZARD AREA: Those areas of the City designated as <br />having a greater chance of flooding from natural dis- <br />aster such as rainstorms or hurricanes. Such areas sre <br />shown on the official flood insurance rate maps (FIRM), <br />adopted by Council. <br />FLOOD HAZARD PREVENTION ORDINANCE: The City Ordinance, <br />adopted by the Council, which defines the flood hazard <br />ardas of the City, and regulates land development more <br />restrictively within such areas, by means of issuance of <br />a special Flood Plain Development permit. <br />GENERAL PLAN: A map or plat designated to illustrate the <br />general design features and street layout of a proposed <br />development which is proposed to be platted and de- <br />veloped in phases. This plan, when approved by the Com- <br />mission, constitutes a guide which the Commission should <br />refer to in the subsequent review of subdivision plats <br />or development site plans that cover portions of the <br />land contained within the general plan and adjacent <br />property . <br />
