Bay overlook. <br />- Community Park - This 23-acre park is proposed to be <br />located in the Lomax area adjacent to the existing <br />neighborhood park on the corner of Lomax School Road <br />and P Street. This park is intended to serve the needs <br />of the western side of the City and to act as a counter- <br />balance to Sylvan Beach Park. Recreational and sport <br />• facilities to be developed within the park are part <br />of the Recreational Facilities listed in Table 11. <br />Facilities which might be included within this park <br />from the list are: <br />1. Two basketball courts. <br />2. Two tennis courts. <br />3. One football/soccer field. <br />4. Two softball fields. <br />Future facilities to be included in the long term are: <br />1. Two additional basketball r_ourts. <br />2. Two handball courts. <br />3. Four additional tennis courts. <br />4. Two baseball fields. <br />5. One swimming pool. <br />- Trails - A 2,500-foot segment of the trail system is <br />proposed within the 5-year capital improvement program. <br />This trail will link Sylvan Beach Park with the proposed <br />Little Cedar Bayou Park. The trail ROW will be parallel <br />to or within the existing ROW of Park Avenue.
