P. Harris Survey, A-30; Johnson Hunter Survey, A- <br />35 City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas. The property is located in the <br />2000 Block of Powell Road (So. 16~' Street). <br />Present Zoning: Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.) <br />Reauested Use: Industrial, Commercial and Multi-Family Residential <br />Background: Texas Import/Export Park is a proposed industrial, commercial and multi- <br />family residential development to be located in an area south of Fairmont <br />Parkway, north of Mc Cabe Road and between existing Southern Pacific <br />railroad tracks and State Highway 146 South. <br />As part of a Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.) development, the applicant <br />is responsible for submitting a Special Conditional Use Permit (SCUP) <br />Request and a General Plan. The SCUP request and General Plan has been <br />submitted by the applicant; however, major issues need to be addressed on a <br />project of this size. Staff has added the SCUP request to the agenda as a <br />discussion onl, into ensure the Commission and staff have ample time to <br />address these issues. This early review of the SCUP and General Plan <br />Sketch will allow the applicant to make any changes and provide the <br />Commission with all requested information. <br />When the SCUP request is added to the agenda as an action item, the <br />General Plan will be added as well. This will allow them to be processed <br />simultaneously as described in Sect. 106-659 of the City's Code of <br />Ordinances. <br />
