<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />June 27, 1988, Page 5 <br /> <br />He also reminded Council that he had requested vacation time, <br />and would be out from July 5 through July 11, so he would not <br />be at the meeting on July 11, but that the Assistant City <br />Manager would cover that meeting. <br /> <br />17. Council Action: The Mayor Pro Tern requested that this item be <br />held until after the executive session. <br /> <br />18. Council adjourned into executive session at 7:15 P.M. and <br />returned to the Council table at 8:17 P.M. <br /> <br />Council then addressed agenda items 8 and 9 as follows: <br /> <br />8. Council considered appointing members to La Porte Electrical <br />Board. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to table this item <br />until the July 11 meeting. Second by Councilperson Clarke. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Pro Tern Porter <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />9. Council considered appointing members to La Porte Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Skelton to table this item <br />until the July 11 meeting. Second by Councilperson Shipp. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Pro Tern Porter <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />17. Council Action: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, <br />Shipp, Gay, Skelton, and Mayor Pro Tern Porter brought items to <br />Council's attention. The City Manager reported that he will <br />get an outside firm to do a study to respond to the stop sign <br />inquiries for Myrtle Creek. <br /> <br />19. There being no further business to come before the Council, <br />the meeting was duly adjourned at 8:39 P.M. <br />
