Mr. Joerns stated that the sanitary <br />sewer system was of main concern, but that the situation <br />would be handled on a staff level. He stated that <br />wastewater from this facility would be brought back to <br />8th Street. line which currently exists and should create <br />no major problems. <br /> <br />Mayor Cline stated that the staff recommendation is to <br />approve this request as brought forth. <br /> <br />There were additional questions of 2 citizens in the audience <br />who asked Mr. Fletcher if there would be recreational <br />facilities and how the tenants would gain access to the <br />complex. Mr. Fletcher answered that access would be down <br />8th Street and also Highway 146, and that many recreational <br />facilities would be included such as tennis courts, jacuzzi, <br />swimming pool, etc. <br /> <br />Mayor Cline then thanked Mr. Fletcher and asked if there were <br />other questions of Mr. Fletcher. There were none. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />C. Council considered the request of James Alexander to <br />rezone Block 1, Lots 18 and 19, Spenwick Place, Section I, <br />from residential to commercial to allow a rental' equipment <br />business. <br /> <br />Mayor Cline asked Mr. Alexander if he would like to speak on <br />behalf of this request. <br /> <br />Mr. Alexander stated that he had gone to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission with his request and that they had approved <br />it and sent it to Council for final approval. He stated that <br />he was wanting to sell the property to Mr. Tolar and that they <br />were going to construct a retail business for the rental of <br />equipment on this property. He stated that he had begun <br />construction several months ago and had already put in <br />plumbing from the ground but had to give up the project <br />because of lack of funds to complete the project and the <br /> <br />t' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />
