Council considered approving a resolution declaring intention to reimburse certain <br />expenditures with borrowing proceeds. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney read: THE PURPOSE OF THE RESOLUTION IS TO LEAVE THE <br />CITY WITH THE OPTION OF REIMBURSING ITSELF FOR EXPENSES <br />INCURRED PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF BONDS ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED <br />PROJECT. AT THE TIME THE BONDS ARE SOLD, THE CITY CAN DECIDE <br />WHETHER TO REIMBURSE ITSELF OR NOT. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Resolution 2001-19 as presented <br />by Mr. Gillett. Second by Councilperson Ebow. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Warren, Young, Clarke, and <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />11. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute an <br />amendment to the agreement with Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc., in the amount of <br />$408,354 - (Ord. 2001-2525). <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney read: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO.1 FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES, <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND CAMP DRESSER & MCKEE, INC., <br />ENGINEERS, DATED JANUARY 22,2001, APPROPRIATING NOT TO EXCEED <br />$408,354.00, TO FUND SAID CONTRACT, MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to approve Ordinance 2001-2525 as presented <br />by Mr. Gillett. Second by Councilperson Young. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Warren, Young, Clarke, and <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />12. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing the <br />conveyance of Lots 8-11, both inclusive, Block 88, Town of La Porte, Harris County, <br />Texas, to La Porte Chapter, Bay Area Habitat for Humanity. <br />
