CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Chuck Engelken, <br />Howard Ebow, Peter Griffiths, Alton Porter, James Warren, Charlie Young, Jerry Clarke, <br />and Norman Malone. <br /> <br />Members of Council Absent: None. Councilperson Ebow left meeting at 7:40 p.m. <br />therefore, he was unable to vote on Item 13. <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: City Manager Robert T. <br />Herrera, City Attorney Knox Askins, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, City Secretary <br />Martha Gillett, Finance Director Cynthia Alexander, Director of Administrative Services <br />Carol Buttler, Assistant City Secretary Sharon Harris, Public Works Director Steve <br />Gillett, Purchasing Manager Susan Kelley, Emergency Services Director Joe Sease, <br />Planning Director Doug Kneupper, Police Chief Richard Reff, City Planner Gwen <br />Goodwin, and Supervising Engineer Carlos Martinez. <br /> <br />Others Present: Dottie Clarke, Tim Clarke, Spero Pomonis, Dan Chappell, Mike Motet, <br />Dave Turnquist, Sib Carpenter, Jean Young, Nazar Momin, Colleen Hicks, Greg <br />Munchuratz and a number of citizens. <br /> <br />2. Reverend Dan Chappell of Fairmont Park Baptist Church delivered the invocation. <br /> <br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the Regular Meeting on November 12, <br />2001. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to aoorove the minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting on November 12. 2001 as presented. Second by Council person Warren. The <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Warren, Young, Clarke, and <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />4. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Malone presented Tim Clarke with a Proclamation honoring him as an Eagle <br />Scout. <br /> <br />5. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNJCA TIONS, AND CITIZENS AND <br />T AXP AYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL. <br /> <br />The following citizens addressed City Council. <br />
