I <br />.7 <br /> <br />Minutes, Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />April 17 ,' 1985, Page 2 <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />The City Manager introduced Richard Hare, who will become <br />Assistant City Manager for La Porte on May 1, and welcomed him <br />to La Porte. <br />5. The Public Hearing on a Dangerous Building was called to <br />order. <br />Building Inspector Mark Lewis reviewed the dangerous building, <br />located in block 330, lots 1-14, La Porte. <br />The Mayor called for anyone wishing to speak in favor of <br />declaring the building dangerous. <br />C, <br />C <br /> <br />Councilpersons Gay and Lloyd spoke in favor of demolishing the <br />building. <br />The Mayor called for anyone wishing to speak in opposition to <br />declaring the building dangerous. No one came forward. <br />The Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br />6. Council considered approving the mi~,u.tes of the Special Called <br />Meeting held April 10, 1985. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to aPerove the <br />minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson Waters. The <br />motion carried, 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Councilpers <br />10 meeting) <br />7.
